Looking for a place to host your bachelorette party? Look no further than Asheville, NC! This city is such a great place to visit and the perfect place to host a bachelorette party. Here’s our list of things you have to include in an Asheville Bachelorette Party.
We’ve visited Asheville multiple times and have created a list of the best things to do for an Asheville bachelorette party. We hope this helps you plan the perfect party for your bride! These are also all great things for any trip to Asheville.
11 Things to Do for an Asheville Bachelorette Party
1. Downtown
Downtown Asheville is a great place to explore during the day or for its night life! Walk around shops, grab a bite to eat, hit up a brewery, or check out a roof top bar. It’s also a great place to show off any bachelorette party outfits. We know you spent time deciding on them, so show them off!
Don’t miss Off the Wagon Dueling Piano Bar and French Broad Chocolate Lounge. There are so many great restaurants downtown as well. You’ll see our recommendations for these later in the post.
If you’re into shopping, you can also check out Grove Arcade (pictured below) or Kress Emporium. Grove Arcade has multiple shops and restaurants. Kress Emporium showcases local artists and craftspeople. It’s a really cool place if you like craft or art markets!
Lastly, hit up the Asheville City Market farmers market open every Saturday on Market Street! It is still open in the winter, but not that it will likely be much smaller.
2. French Broad River Tubing
Another Asheville staple is the French Broad River. There are so many activities you can do at the French Broad River for your bachelorette party including swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking.
But our favorite is tubing! It’s a great option for everyone and it’s super fun. Bring a floating cooler and enjoy the next few hours hanging with your girls and taking in the beautiful scenery.
We’d recommend Zen Tubing. They have two locations with different float times depending on which one you start at.
If you’re planning your bachelorette party for the winter time, check out a hike on the river. It is beautiful and can still be enjoyed in the colder months!
3. The Biltmore
The Biltmore is Asheville’s drawing factor for many people. Known as America’s Largest Home, the Biltmore Estate is the home of the Vanderbilt family built in 1895. This grand house has much to offer including tours, wine tastings, food, bike rentals, gardens and accommodations.
We want to note that The Biltmore is not a budget friendly activity, but is beautiful! It is a cool experience with a lot of history and so many activities. Definitely do some research about what seasonal activities they have available whenever your Asheville bachelorette party is planned!
Also, we would recommend having at least a half a day if not a not a whole day devoted to the Biltmore. The tour is about an hour and half and there is just so much to see on the grounds. Our group really enjoyed the wine tasting included in our tour too!
4. Eat Something Delicious
Asheville is known for being a foodie town and for good reason! There is a place for everyone in Asheville making it a perfect city for a bachelorette party weekend. A few of our favorites include:
Breakfast
Sunny Point Cafe – Delicious breakfast with a cute patio. Perfect for a girls brunch or breakfast!
Biscuit Head – Very well known biscuit place in Asheville. You haven’t visited Asheville without getting a biscuit sandwich from Biscuit Head. They have multiple locations around the city making it a delicious and convenient place to eat for your Asheville Bachelorette Party!
Lunch/Dinner
Chai Pani – Indian Street food. Everything we had was delicious! There are multiple vegetarian and vegan options here so a great place for everyone in your party.
Posana – Fancier dining but worth the price! We are all about the savings, but sometimes it’s nice to splurge, and Posana is a great place to do it. It has a seasonal changing menu and great atmosphere. The food was so good and the place was perfect for a dress up dinner night with the girls!
Asheville Brewing Company. – This place has it all. Food, brews, and even a movie theater! A true local place with good beers and delicious pizza. The hot chicken mother clucker pizza is a game changer. They have three locations but their North Asheville location is the original and home to the movie theater.
Packs Tavern – locally owned restaurant and bar in downtown Asheville. Known for it’s large eclectic menu. There is something for everyone here! They also have a great list of cocktails and local beers.
Red Ginger Dimsum and Tapas – Great atmosphere and the greatest Chinese food. You don’t want to miss this place if you love Chinese food!
Dessert
Sunshine Sammies – Build your own ice cream sandwich! We thoroughly enjoyed this place (see picture for proof). They also have cookies or just ice cream.
French Broad Chocolate Lounge – Perfect place to pick up dessert for the night or enjoy a some delicious sweets in a cozy lounge.
4. Attend a Class
A great Asheville bachelorette party wouldn’t be complete without a class of some sort! It’s a great way to bring all your girlfriends together. We’d recommend a candle making, yoga, or plant class. Asheville has options for all three.
Hummingbird Candle Co. boasts great reviews and encourages groups of any size. Plant House is an awesome plant shop that offers different events each month. We’d recommend one of the build your own terrarium classes!
For yoga, check out some of the outdoor options. Namaste in Nature is highly reviewed for an outdoor yoga class. Asheville has yoga classes of all types so be sure to check out all your options. They even have some classes with alpacas!
5. Brewery or Winery or Both!
Asheville is well known for its craft beer scene and it’s obvious why! They have some of the best craft breweries in the southeast. We’d highly recommend checking out one or more for your Asheville Bachelorette Party.
Below are some of our favorite breweries in Asheville! We also added a winery to the list too. The mountains outside of Asheville have some beautiful wineries that are also worth visiting.
- Wedge Brewing Company
- Funkatorium
- Wicked Weed
- Sierra Nevada Brewery
- Addison Farms (Winery)
7. Blue Ridge Mountains
If you’re like us, you love some mountain views. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon with your girls. Load up, pick a great playlist, role with the windows down, and enjoy all the beauty the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer.
Thrifty Tip: Picking outdoor activities is a great way to see the beauty of Asheville while also lowering your trip budget!
There are lots of scenic views to stop at along the parkway too. Perfect places to snap some photos from your Asheville Bachelorette Party!
We’d also recommend adding a hike to your itinerary too. The Blue Ridge Mountains truly are beautiful. We have a list of hikes from one of our favorite websites later in the post!
8. Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Looking to mark another national park off your list? Include a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in your itinerary. The Great Smokies are a little ways outside of Asheville (about an hour – an hour and half depending on where you are coming from) but we think it’s worth the drive!
Enjoy the beautiful mountain views, explore nature, and maybe even catch a glimpse of a black bear. Check out some of the recommended hikes from the National Park Service. We loved Andrew’s Bald and Clingman’s Dome.
Clingman’s Dome can get very crowded quickly but it is paved and potentially disability accessible if someone in your group uses a powered wheelchair. The views are stunning from the top!
9. Zip Lining
Want to add some adventure to your Asheville Bachelorette Party? Book a group zip lining tour! We zip lined in the Great Smoky Mountains and had the best time! It is definitely a little scary at first, but it was an experience we’d 100% recommend. It’s a great addition to the itinerary for those more adventurous brides.
We loved our tour with Climb Works (Great Smokies) but have also heard great things about Navitat (Blue Ridge Mountains). Zip Lining in the Blue Ridge Mountains is closer to Asheville and might be a better option if you’re not looking to drive too far outside the city.
10. Hiking
We mentioned all the mountains and beautiful scenery Asheville and the surrounding areas have to offer. What better way to truly explore and experience nature than a hike! Here’s a list of some great hikes in and around Asheville!
11. Visit a Coffee Shop on your Asheville Bachelorette Party
Lastly, Asheville is home to some delicious local coffee shops. A cute local spot is the perfect way to start an Asheville bachelorette party. We love Double D’s Coffee & Desserts. Great coffee and a great place to take some cute insta worthy photos!
Please take note that Double D’s is CASH ONLY! They have atms around the corner but save on those extra fees and bring some cash with you.
French Broad Chocolate Lounge that we mentioned before is also known for yummy coffee drinks. Here’s a full list of top rated Asheville coffee shops.
We have both planned multiple bachelorette parties and know that there are a lot of details involved.
